Die casting is a precision casting method that utilizes high-pressure force to melt metal into complex metal molds. In 1964, the Japanese Die Casting Association defined die casting as "a casting method that involves pressing molten alloys into precision molds at high temperatures, producing high precision and excellent casting surfaces in a short period of time.
The United States refers to die-casting as Die Casting, while the UK refers to die-casting as Pressure Die Casting. The most familiar term among domestic industry professionals is the Japanese term for die-casting. Castings produced by the die casting method are called die castings.
The tensile strength of these materials is nearly twice that of ordinary cast alloys, which has more positive significance for components such as aluminum alloy car wheels and frames that hope to be produced with higher strength and impact resistant materials.
